MOUNT AGUNG

About Mount Agung

BALIAN is a tribute to the Balinese legend that sacred Mount Agung was created from a fragment of Mount Meru, the spiritual axis of the universe.

BALIAN originates from Mount Agung, the island’s highest volcano (3142 m), in the north east of Bali in the Karangasem regency. The water is sourced and bottled directly on the slope of sacred Mount Agung in a natural protected environment.

Aquifer

Acting as a barrier to oceans winds, Mount Agung captures rain on its southern slope, creating a natural impluvium where rain water is collected.

The water slowly filters over the years through protected layers of volcanic rocks and sands to naturally enrich itself with essential minerals to create BALIAN’s unique composition and soft taste.

Spring

Following its journey underground, BALIAN naturally emerges as a free-flowing spring where it is collected and bottled without tapping the aquifer or harming the eco-system.

NATURAL MINERAL WATER

Certification

Natural Mineral Water is recognized as the highest standard worldwide for bottled water, making it the first choice of water for connoisseurs and amateurs of organic food.

BALIAN meets all the criteria and is certified as Natural Mineral Water under Indonesian National Standard (SNI 6242 2015) with reference to the international CODEX standard 108-1981.

100% Natural Purity

Natural Mineral Water certified as such with the 3 words Natural Mineral Water attached together in sequence can clearly be distinguished from ordinary drinking water and other mineral waters because:

a) it is characterized by its content of certain mineral salts and their relative proportions and the presence of trace elements or of other constituents;

b) it is obtained directly from natural or drilled sources from underground water bearing strata for which all possible precautions should be taken within the protected perimeters to avoid any pollution of, or external influence on, the chemical and physical qualities of natural mineral water;

c) of the constancy of its composition and the stability of its discharge and its temperature, due account being taken of the cycles of minor natural fluctuations;

d) it is collected under conditions which guarantee the original microbiological purity and chemical composition of essential components;

e) it is bottled close to the point of emergence of the source with particular hygienic precautions;

f) it is not subjected to any treatment other than those permitted by the standard.

BALIAN TALENT

Ni Kadek Diah Rahayu, Bali’s first Female Pro Surfer

As a female pro surfer from the island of Bali, Diah has lived by the water all her life. Diah loves the ocean and the thrill she gets from surfing the waves. She believes that her soul is already in the water.

BALIAN is proud to support Diah and nurture her talent so she can achieve her goals.

What is it like to be first female pro surfer from Bali?

Of course it’s very fun and exciting, but more importantly it’s a challenge in which I can express my talent. Although very physical, I always feel satisfied when I push barriers. I want to surf the same waves as men. This way I can show the way to empower women.

Hydration for Diah

How do you stay hydrated being outdoor most of the time?

Being exposed to the sun on the beach and the sea all day does make me dehydrated very quickly. For me, to drink the best quality water is essential to keep my body hydrated. I don’t compromise with water. I’m now so grateful that we can have BALIAN. It is the perfect choice of water for me.

Why BALIAN is your preferred water?

Simply because of the effect it has on me. When I first tried BALIAN I could immediately feel its natural purity. It tastes neutral and very soft. Because its natural water combined with natural minerals it hydrates my body well and helps me to maintain a soft skin.
As a result I value and drink water more. It has become short moments in the day to make a pause, close my eyes and feel spiritually content. To hydrate both my body and my soul.
